Kaleido User Guide

Big picture

What is Kaleido?

Kaleido is a modular operating system for your life, built entirely in Notion. You start with The Core—a single, opinionated workspace that brings together tasks, recurrings, history, metrics, and context like contacts and places.

From there, you can plug in focused modules like Finances, Chores, or Inventory when you’re ready. Each module speaks the same language as the Core, so nothing feels bolted on.

Architecture

The Core and optional add-ons

The Core gives you your foundation: a small set of well-designed databases, a clean navigation structure, and sensible defaults for everyday life. Add-ons build on that foundation instead of creating separate islands.

  • The Core: your all-in-one life system.
  • Modules: focused packs for specific areas (e.g. Finances).
  • Extensions: deeper frameworks layered on top of modules.

Fit

Who Kaleido is for

Kaleido is designed for people who want a flexible system that can grow with them: students, creatives, founders, and anyone juggling multiple “pillars” of life at once.

If you like Notion but don’t want to architect everything from scratch, Kaleido gives you a cohesive starting point you can still customize.
